Frequently asked questions
Answers about job matches, application review, billing, and your account.
Getting started
Open Settings and use the language toggle, or pick a language in the welcome step of the platform tour. The choice is saved to your profile and follows you across devices.
Kariyan checks company career pages for roles that match your brief. The first run takes a few minutes. You can close the tab; we will notify you when matches are ready.
Matching
Each role we discover is scored against your CV facts and your spoken preferences. The score balances skills overlap, role direction, location, work mode, and compensation signals. Open a match to see the explanation in plain language.
Either no companies posted a role that fit your brief, or your filters were too tight. Try widening location, work mode, or salary in Search Settings, then trigger a new run.
Open Import Jobs from the menu and paste a job URL. Kariyan extracts the role details and adds it to your tracker so you can apply through the same flow as a system match.
It is a 0 to 100 estimate of how well your profile fits the role given the data we have. Above 75 usually means a strong fit; below 50 means we found a meaningful mismatch worth reading the explanation for.
Sending applications
In the standard flow, Kariyan prepares the application for you to review. Sending starts only after you approve it. Autopilot can send within rules set by the user, but it is currently limited to a small closed beta group.
Billing
Plans differ in application, document generation, search, and strategy-session allowances. Check the pricing page for the current limits of each plan.
Open Billing and choose Cancel subscription. The confirmation shows when your paid access ends. You can also manage your subscription from Settings.
Job-search expenses may qualify as income-related expenses (Werbungskosten) under §9 EStG when they are connected to earning income. Whether a Kariyan subscription or other application costs qualify, and whether claiming them changes your tax, depends on your circumstances. Our application-costs page explains the common cases and links to the German tax guidance behind them. This is information, not tax advice.
Your tracker keeps a record of every application you have sent, with date, company, role and method. Download it as a CSV from the tracker and hand it to your caseworker or your tax advisor. Only applications you actually sent appear in it, because one still waiting for your approval has not reached an employer yet.
Privacy
Kariyan uses your CV to build profile details for you to review and to prepare application documents. You review the documents before they are sent in the standard flow. Our privacy notice explains how your CV and other personal data are processed and shared.
Account
Yes. Open Settings and use Delete account. The confirmation explains the effect of deletion. Our account-deletion guide covers the steps and how to contact support if you cannot sign in; the privacy notice explains retention.
